The more that I learn as a photographer, the more blinkered I have become to the world around me. This year i’m an open book to learning once again. Seeing again. Making mistakes again. Looking for a clear narrative amongst the noise. Accepting that my creative journey has in fact just begun after close to 20 years.
One aspect of my personal work which has been part of my exploration as a photographer is the love- hate relationship with urban environments which surround me- my place within – and their temporary nature. I’m intrigued with how in one aspect we attempt to control elements- yet utterly disregard other aspects of its integration and influence on our lives.
Some what kleptic- some what cohesive- this series is being examined and directed at my first personal project and exhibition this year. Head to the full collection here.
